It is important to know and understand the ingredients in your skincare products. Why, you may ask. Don’t the skincare companies make products that are good for my skin? Why should I have to worry about the ingredients? All very good questions... It would be great if all skincare companies where making products solely for the purpose of being beneficial for skin. The skincare industry is a multi-billion dollar business and growing every year! Unfortunately due to rising costs of ingredients, labor, packaging, and advertising, skincare companies just like many other companies have to cut corners. And where do they do this? I am very sorry to say in their ingredients. Reformulation is always going on in the skincare industry for a couple of reasons and reason number four is a great place to cut costs, especially since the other three ways can be an increased expense for a company. New cutting edge technology New ingredients New reports stating an old ingredient is now harmful to consumers Need to cut production costs (cut back on active ingredient and add inactive ingredient) Now it would be my hope that number 4 would be not happen but in a world powered by money it unfortunately does. Teen Skincare and Makeup
The idea with teen skincare and makeup is to keep it as natural as possible while allowing young skin to function property. A tinted moisturizer is perfect for a teenager, as well as choosing a blush that can double as a shadow, a black mascara, and a nude or light colored lip polish. Keep the darker makeup for special occassions and teatrical productions. I selected a tinted moisturizer by Arbonne for Natalie as well as a neutral blush to highlight cheeks and eye lids, topped her lashes off with a black mascara, and lips with a nude lip polish. Remember...teenagers are going to breakout so help them to pick a makeup that is not too heavy and let's their natural youthful glow to shine through.
